NorthernTel has paging sites in Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Englehart and New Liskeard.
  

How do I know my pager number?

Once your pager is activated, a test page will be sent to you. This page will be your pager number.
  

Will my pager work if the power is out?

Yes, NorthernTel has battery back up on our paging and cellular sites.

  • Dial your pager telephone number
  • Wait for Tone
  • Enter 0 to enter command mode
  • Press 11 to enter your custom message set-up
  • Press 30 to record greeting
  • Press 1 to end recording
  • Press 40 to listen to greeting
     

How do I get National Coverage with my NorthernTel pager?

Additional zones can be purchased as extra features through NorthernTel. Coverage is available with 900 Flex paging at Frequency 931.7375 in Bell Mobility territory, Telus Mobility territory, BCTel Mobility territory and Manitoba in the spring of 1998. For true national coverage, you would need to purchase a POCSAG pager at Frequency 931.8875.

Additional zones can be purchased as extra features through NorthernTel. For coverage that reaches across Canada and into the U.S. a POCSAG pager at 931.8875 is needed.
